Agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Arrowstone LLC, doing business as Composure (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using Composure, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Composure on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Composure is made for iPhone and requires iOS 26.1 or later; it is not offered for iPad, Mac, or Apple Vision Pro. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law.

Free features and Composure Complete

Composure is free to use as an alarm clock, including alarms (quick alarms and habit alarms too), the math wake-up mission, the quote of the day, the bedside screen, and sleep sounds with their timer. Composure Complete unlocks the motion and typing missions, affirmations, Bible verses, daily and life goals, the vision board, daytime reminders, the full wake-sound library, and the evening ritual. What each tier includes may change between versions; the app always shows what is unlocked.

Purchases and billing

Composure Complete is purchased through Apple, offered as an auto-renewing yearly plan, an auto-renewing monthly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase (“Composure Forever”) that unlocks the same features permanently and does not renew. The yearly and monthly plans belong to one subscription group, so you hold one at a time, and switching between them is handled by Apple. Both subscription plans include a two-week free introductory period for eligible new subscribers - Apple determines eligibility, and in general the introductory period is offered once per Apple Account; the lifetime purchase has no introductory period. If a free introductory period is offered, the subscription converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and are set for each App Store storefront. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and Apple handles all billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its own terms. All three purchases support Family Sharing, under Apple's Family Sharing rules. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime purchase requires no management and never bills again. If you would like a refund, you can request one from Apple in Settings > Request a Refund inside the app, or at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple alone decides whether a refund is granted. Prices may change for future renewal periods; you will be able to cancel before any change takes effect.

Alarms and reliability

Composure schedules alarms and notifications through Apple's system frameworks (AlarmKit and local notifications), which is what lets an alarm ring through Silent mode and a Focus. Delivery still depends on your device and on iOS - including the device being powered on and charged, the alarm and notification permissions you have granted (an alarm cannot be scheduled while alarm access is denied), volume and sound settings, operating-system behavior and updates, and hardware condition. The app re-checks its alarms every time you open it and, when iOS allows, in a daily background task - but iOS decides whether that task runs. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY ALARM, NOTIFICATION, OR REMINDER WILL SOUND OR BE DELIVERED AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME, OR AT ALL. DO NOT RELY ON COMPOSURE AS YOUR ONLY MEANS OF WAKING OR OF BEING REMINDED WHERE OVERSLEEPING OR A MISSED REMINDER COULD CAUSE HARM, LOSS, OR LIABILITY - for example flights, medical care, medication, work or legal obligations. Always keep an independent backup for anything important.

Physical activity and health

Some optional wake-up missions in Composure Complete involve physical movement, such as squats, walking, or shaking the device. These features are voluntary; a non-physical alternative - the math mission - is always available to everyone, and Composure Complete also includes typing. The first time you choose a physical mission for an alarm, the app shows a short Health & Safety notice that you must accept. Composure is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Consult a physician before using physical missions if you have any condition affected by exercise, including heart, blood-pressure, joint, or balance conditions, or if you are pregnant. Perform movements only in a safe, clear area, with secure footing and a secure grip on your device, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ARISING FROM YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.

Your content

Affirmations, goals, journal entries, habits, vision-board photos, and other content you add belong to you. They are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database. We never receive, see, or host your content. You can export your journal, goals, and affirmations from Settings at any time, and Erase All Data removes all the content the app stored on that iPhone and asks iCloud to delete its copy.

Beta versions

From time to time we offer pre-release versions of Composure through Apple's TestFlight. Beta versions are unfinished: features may change or be removed, and the alarm and reliability terms above apply with extra force - do not rely on a beta build to wake you for anything that matters. Beta builds expire after a period set by Apple. Your use of TestFlight is also governed by Apple's TestFlight terms, and Apple shares crash reports and the feedback you submit with us, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

COMPOSURE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF COMPOSURE - INCLUDING MISSED ALARMS, NOTIFICATIONS, OR REMINDERS, AND INJURY CONNECTED WITH PHYSICAL MISSIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTEEN U.S. DOLLARS (US$15) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Composure and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Termination

This license ends automatically if you violate these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app and canceling any active subscription in your Apple Account settings - deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use Composure after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
