These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Arrowstone LLC, doing business as Composure (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using Composure, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Composure on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law.
Composure Complete is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple, offered as a yearly plan or a monthly plan. The yearly plan includes a one-month free introductory period for eligible new subscribers; the monthly plan does not include a free trial. If a free introductory period is offered, the subscription converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and Apple handles all billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds under its own terms. You can manage or cancel the subscription any time in your Apple Account settings. If you would like a refund, you can request one from Apple in Settings > Request a refund, or at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple alone decides whether a refund is granted. Prices may change for future renewal periods; you will be able to cancel before any change takes effect.
Composure schedules alarms and notifications through Apple's system frameworks, and their delivery depends on your device and on iOS - including the device being powered on and charged, volume and sound settings, operating-system behavior and updates, permissions you have granted, and hardware condition. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY ALARM, NOTIFICATION, OR REMINDER WILL SOUND OR BE DELIVERED AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME, OR AT ALL. DO NOT RELY ON COMPOSURE AS YOUR ONLY MEANS OF WAKING OR OF BEING REMINDED WHERE OVERSLEEPING OR A MISSED REMINDER COULD CAUSE HARM, LOSS, OR LIABILITY - for example flights, medical care, medication, work or legal obligations. Always keep an independent backup for anything important.
Some optional wake-up missions involve physical movement, such as squats, walking, or shaking the device. These features are voluntary; non-physical alternatives (such as math or typing) are always available. Composure is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Consult a physician before using physical missions if you have any condition affected by exercise, including heart, blood-pressure, joint, or balance conditions, or if you are pregnant. Perform movements only in a safe, clear area, with secure footing and a secure grip on your device, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ARISING FROM YOUR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.
Affirmations, goals, photos, and other content you add belong to you. They are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database. We never receive, see, or host your content.
COMPOSURE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF COMPOSURE - INCLUDING MISSED ALARMS, NOTIFICATIONS, OR REMINDERS, AND INJURY CONNECTED WITH PHYSICAL MISSIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTEEN U.S. DOLLARS (US$15) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Composure and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
This license ends automatically if you violate these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app and canceling any active subscription.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use Composure after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
